Aluminia has produced these two Christmas plates from 1923. They are from the same year, but has different decoration. The one to the left has decoration number 1235/1175. The one to the right has no decoration number. Diameter 30.5 cm. Designed by Harboe. Both are in excellent condition. In the 1880s when production at the Royal Copenhagen factory was dropping to a dangerously low level they were taken over by Aluminia (founded 1863), successful makers of earthenware, and since that time the two ranges, earthenware and porcelain, have been running in tandem.
